Tango Essence collaborates with and supports Tango Roots in bringing top quality tango teachers to Swansea. Tango Roots was set up by Annalise to support and grow social tango in the Swansea community, and to share this passionate and connecting dance to open minds and hearts. Annalise has loved dancing since she was 3 years old. She started learning tango with Tango Essence and fell in love with tango at first dance. Since then she has travelled frequently throughout Europe to top international tango events where she has gained valuable experience, learning with a wide variety of high quality teachers as well as practicing her skills over hundreds of hours on the dance floor. Recently she has been studying with Joël Rodrigues and practicing with regular dancer partners in Paris. In 2017 she taught several workshops in Germany and also made a teaching debut in Tango Taboe Camp alongside top teachers such as Murat Erdemsel and Agustin & Natalia.

September 4th-8th

Natalia & Agustin

Amongst the new generation of Argentine couples, Natalia and Agustin are a couple whose popularity has grown rapidly in recent years. In less than three years, they have participated in more than 87 tango events in ten countries from America to Europe. Even during their first year European tour, they were called to dance at a Dutch Royalty Award, the "Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Prijs 2016", in the presence of Queen Maxima of The Netherlands.

They began their international journey in 2016, after 13 years of local experience and 10 years of intense researches about tango, its history, its dance, culture, testimony and chats with milongueros. They have also specialized in body language and dance teaching techniques and done studies in the Tango university career at the Art University of Buenos Aires.

Abroad, they have quickly achieved great recognition and popularity thanks to their unique and innovative classes where they mix culture, art, history, musicality, dance and technique. They are skilled in transmitting highly tango rooted knowledge, without even using figures or sequences.

Their previous visits to Wales have been very popular, so don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a wonderful couple of teachers!

Here’s their schedule;
